History

Founded in 1964 in the Paris region with electromechanics as its core business, AREM quickly went beyond this stage and added the distribution of impellers to the manufacture of motorized fans.

Anticipating very early on the problems of developing its industrial activity in the inner suburbs of Paris, AREM set up its production then its entire activity in Saint-Brisson sur Loire (Loiret) in the heart of the French countryside but close to the economic decision-making centres of the Paris region and at the crossroads of national and international roads which enable our suppliers as well as our customers to have very efficient logistical plans. Our efficiency in terms of delivery time is today, as it was in the past, a central focus of our relationship with our customers, for whom responsiveness and proximity are essential.

Wishing to give AREM a dynamic and additional technical and commercial resources, the founder of the company sold it in 1998 to the British group Nuaire so that it could be integrated into a highly ambitious project within a leading European industrial group in the world of air flow technology. 15 years, the company has acquired a European dimension with customers and projects in all European countries but also in Africa, Asia and the Persian Gulf. In 2005, the company’s Quality policy led to ISO 9001 certification and the introduction of ranges of fans based on international standard systems, EN 12101-3, ATEX etc.

Wishing to give a different direction to the development of the company and its sales with complementary ranges of products and services and an increase in the resources and skills of the team, with the aid of dynamic, pragmatic and solid investors, AREM’s management team bought the company back in 2012. A further step was then taken with substantial investments in equipment, IT solutions and human technical and scientific skills, dedicated to development, innovation and increasing added value for our customers.

Our customers in France and abroad are major players in the air treatment sector as well as in industry and we support them in their international development.

With you and for you, present in national and international markets, AREM offers a range of axial and centrifugal products, from very cold to very hot, in constant evolution in terms of technical performance for commercial and industrial applications.

 

SOME REFERENCE POINTS

Each year we manufacture 15,000 axial and centrifugal fans, including over 3000 smoke extraction fans and 350 ATEX fans using over 200 different motor references in compliance with EN12101-3 for safety installations.

Our products are installed all over the world, from metallurgical plants north of the Arctic Circle in Finnish Lapland to fisheries in Patagonia, all of which operate safely thanks to the expertise of our teams.

Every year, 700 tonnes of metal are cut, bent, welded and folded in our workshops. 5000 orders for our 400 regular customers are delivered to 30 countries on 5 continents.
